As exclusively predicted by The National Enquirer last November, Heather Locklear today filed for divorce from rocker husband Richie Sambora.

The 44-year-old actress has left Bon Jovi guitarist Sambora, 46, after 11 years of marriage. They have a daughter, Ava Elizabeth, 8.

Divorce papers were filed at Los Angeles Superior Court, confirmed Heather's publicist Cece Yorke.

We told readers in our November 21 cover story that one of the strongest marriages in showbiz was in jeopardy because of the amount of time the couple were spending apart.

After the story appeared, Heather denied any problems in the marriage and boasted her husband had given her a diamond necklace for their 11th anniversary.

But sources say their attempts to patch up their differences failed. Heather, who was previously married to Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee, wed Sambora in December 1994.
