CNN anchorman ANDERSON COOPER has been targeted for death by Muslim extremists, jihadists and Egyptian goon squads!
The silver-haired newscaster, who was in Egypt covering the political unrest in that country, knows about the threats and is very worried, sources tell The ENQUIRER.
"Anderson is freaked out – and so are his family and friends," said a source close to the high-profile TV journo, 43.
"But he’s a brave man and dedicated reporter who refuses to back down.
"His boyfriend, Ben Maisani, is very fearful."
Cooper’s mom, fashion icon Gloria Vanderbilt, is worried sick, the source said.
It is Cooper’s gay lifestyle that has drawn the hatred of Muslim fundamentalists, according to the source.
"Islamic militants would like to make an example of Anderson," said the source.
