House hunting in the Hollywood Hills, “Ugly Betty” star AMERICA FERRERA was bummed when a $2.5 million pad touted as having a fabulous view of the famed “Hollywood” sign turned out to be a bust – all you could see was “--llywood” – so she and a male companion drove up and down surrounding streets, knocking on doors and asking people if they had the view, and would they be interested in selling? Emmy winner America, who wasn’t recognized without her “Ugly Betty” makeup, glasses and braces, had three doors literally slammed in her face before she finally gave up and left the job to her Realtor.
