WORLD EXCLUSIVE: REPUBLICAN DEBATE BOMBSHELL — ENQUIRER PROVES TERRORISTS CAN CROSS MEXICAN BORDER

As national debate rages over the hot-button issue of border security, The National ENQUIRER has discovered a shocking lapse at the U.S.-Mexico border!

On Dec. 14, a reporter for The ENQUIRER dressed as a terrorist and slipped into Texas from Mexico — completely undetected!

The breach was made incredibly easy due to an unguarded metal footbridge that straddles the 20-foot-wide Rio Grande River about 80 miles southeast of El Paso.

In fact, The ENQUIRER reporter spent several hours wandering around the porous border, which is accessible to potential terrorists, before spotting a U.S. Customs and Border Patrol vehicle.

Getting to the Rio Grande River was a breeze since the 21-foot, American-built “Jurassic Park”-like fence that runs along the Hudspeth County border ends abruptly after several miles.

Then, it turns into a flimsy belly-high fence held together by three strands of barbed wire.

The fence picks up again about 14 miles west, leaving a large swath of the border virtually protected by — shockingly — nothing at all!

“It’s like building a house with half a roof!” Hudspeth County Sheriff Irvin West told The ENQUIRER.

The ENQUIRER reporter was able to penetrate the border by slipping through the 14-mile gap, and walking along an earthen levee used by U.S. Customs and Border Patrol vehicles before reaching the unprotected footbridge.

Built in the 1930s, the footbridge was designed to slow the speed of the river flow, prevent erosion of the banks, and protect the natural habitats.

Despite all promises of border security by the Obama Administration, the footbridge enabled The ENQUIRER to walk across the border into Mexico and back into Texas — without even getting his feet wet!

The footbridge is also about two miles from Interstate 10, where potential terrorists can easily be picked up by accomplices and transported to any place in America.

After a radicalized Muslim couple slaughtered 14 people and injured 22 more in San Bernardino, Calif., politicians continue to rage about clamping down on illegal immigrants and border security.

But as The ENQUIRER has reported, intelligence leaders already fear Islamic State (ISIS) commanders have set up camp just across the Texas border.

They have located a secret ISIS training compound in the Mexican desert — less than 10 miles from El Paso!

The ISIS group is suspected of coordinating terrorist attacks in the U.S., and investigators are understood to be looking into possible links between the group and Syed Rizwan Farook and wife Tashfeen Malik, who went on the bloody rampage in San Bernardino.

For now, security at America’s borders remains virtually non-existent.

According to the Center for Immigration Studies, nearly 800,000 illegal immigrants have arrived in the U.S. in past two years.

That’s on top of the 1.5 million to 1.7 million illegal immigrants that arrived from 2009 through 2013!
