Update:
On Saturday, June 9, Paris Hilton released a statement saying she will not appeal her sentence. "Today I told my attorneys not to appeal the judge’s decision. While I greatly appreciate the Sheriff’s concern for my health and welfare, after meeting with doctors I intend to serve my time as ordered by the judge," Paris said. "This is by far the hardest thing I have ever done. During the past several days, I have had a lot of time to reflect and have already learned a bitter, but important lesson from this experience."

Paris Hilton
was ordered back to jail on Friday by Judge Sauer. Paris must return to jail in Lynwood to serve out her entire 45-day sentence for a parole violation. She’ll get credit for five days already served. When the judge made his new ruling, the Associated Press reports Paris was heard saying, "It’s not right!" and was seen weeping and calling out for her mother.

Superior Court Judge Michael T. Sauer expressed his displeasure with Paris’ reassignment to house arrest as he sentenced her back to jail. "I at no time condoned the actions of the sheriff and at no time told him I approved the actions," Sauer said. "At no time did I approve the defendant being released from custody to her home."

At a press conference, Sheriff Lee Baca defended his move to send Paris home saying her early release was "based on her severe medical problems."

Paris Hilton was taken from the hearing to a treatment center at the downtown Twin Towers jail for medical and psychiatric examination to determine which facility she will be held in. According to sheriff’s spokesman Steve Whitmore, "She’ll be there for at least a couple of days."

Fox’s Greta Van Susteren was in the court room during Paris Hilton’s hearing on Friday and said she witnessed Paris shaking, quivering and twitching. Van Susteren said it was obviously to a lay person that there was something wrong and she speculated whether Paris would receive medical attention. Van Susteren says Paris looked back at her parents while sitting in court three times and each time mouthed the words "I Love You."

Hilton is expected to appeal the sentence, according to TMZ.com.
