Goldie Hawn made a daring stand for older women everywhere while presenting Reese Witherspoon with the “Hollywood Hero” Award from Glamour magazine last night! The screen legend — who’ll be turning 70 years old on November 21 — mixed a classy look with a plunging neckline while hitting the red carpet at Carnegie Hall in a stylish pantsuit!
Goldie looked very happy to be saluting Reese with the Glamour honors, which saluted the younger actress’ Pacific Standard production company for its commitment to creating films with strong female leads.
The veteran actress has her own reputation as a pioneering feminist — and seems determined to remain a single gal despite her decades of dating fellow film star Kurt Russell. “A lasting relationship isn’t about marriage," she said. "It’s about compatibility and communication. And you both need to want it to work. If one person does not want it to work, it isn’t going to work. Intention is the key."
Goldie — whose pantsuit still bared plenty of backside — is also outspoken about the upbeat attitude that keeps a lady flaunting her looks at any age: "By living mindfully, you understand that there are many transitions in life. You just go through them. But it’s wonderful to know you’re aging, because that means you’re still on the planet, right?"
